Culver’s History
The first Culver’s store came up in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin. The founder Craig and Lea Culver along with Craig’s parents George and Ruth welcomed the first guest at Culver’s.
The family was in awe of Sauk City and decided to open their first restaurant in the beloved city. In the initial days, the founder served Butter Burgers and Frozen Custard thus wooing the natives with their delicacy.

In 1998, Culver’s made its way outside the Midwest with the opening of the Texas location. In the next decade, Culver’s expanded beyond the Midwest in cities like Colorado, Wyoming, Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
