Rockfish Seafood Grill History

Rockfish Seafood Grill Inside usamenuprices

Randy DeWitt founded this business in Plano, Texas, in 1998. Randy grew up in the sea, and he knew that this experience had changed his life forever.

Seafood may be cheaper locally around the beach, but eating it on a plate never comes at a lower price.

Each person easily burns $100 on a good meal with wine and a good side dish. Does it mean that seafood is hard to make?

No, it’s the process that it requires. And no ordinary ingredients will work on these, ultimately doubling or even quadrupling the price.

Randy saw all these, and he knew how hard it is to earn money in the real world, all thanks to his experience.

Then he decided to start his new business to provide not just any seafood, but a good one at that.

While not costing a fortune, anyone from rich to middle-class families can afford a fulfilling meal with their loved ones.

Everything, from sauce to dressing to desserts, is homemade. It has been like this for the last 25 years, and the seafood only takes 48 hours to get delivered to their place.

Rockfish Seafood changes its menu twice a year, despite not having any significant loss in sales on any particular product.

The same thing happened with the first restaurant. It wasn’t perfect, and the items were adapted over time, creating a legacy that every location follows to the letter.

Currently, Rockfish Seafood Grill has about 14 locations scattered around the state of Texas. Copper River is the main supplier of anything sea-related.

In 2008, the company was acquired by three investment firms: Charter Private Equity LP, White Oak Capital Partners LP, and Capital Point Partners of Houston, as well as two individuals, Henry Leonard and Richardson.

Rockfish Seafood Grill Review

Our viewers must have a lot of questions bubbling around in them. That’s why we encourage you to check out our second segment highlighting the Rockfish Seafood Grill menu prices.

Everything is so cheap, and yet we can see clear signs of generous portions. That’s why our first dish in this review was the Cajun Pasta.

A mixture of many dishes, including seafood, veggies, and spices. The base protein includes blackened shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage.

Meats are then cooked with onions, peppers, and Cajun cream sauce for that authentic aroma seafood makes.

And garlic bread as a side companion. All these just for $15? Can you believe that? You better be, because more dishes cost even less but have enough portions to fill a grown-up belly.

Everything was well cooked and had one color across everything: light yellow. Even the shrimp were loaded with spices.

It was a fantastic dish indeed, but unfortunately, by the time we arrived, the daily special was over. So we went for volcano shrimp.

Yet another shrimp dish that only costs $10. It may cost even less, depending on where you are. Overall, this was spicier than the first one.

The fried shrimp were covered in their spicy and sweet volcano sauce, giving it a natural, tangy flavor.

Almonds and green onions were tossed over the bed of lettuce, carrots, and other vegetables. The level of attention these guys put into these dishes is just insane!

While the same sauces were topped over, when the shrimp were gone, you could still eat the remaining veggies with the same sweet and tangy flavor your shrimp had.

So insane! Just $25, and I’m full. A true restaurant lacks the greedy mindset most people like to follow.

Final Thoughts

Seafoods are automatically counted as premium dishes. Premium dishes will cost more than regular dining.

But Rockfish Seafood Grill has broken that trend by offering not just a cheaper alternative but a tastier one at that.

The numbers have gone down from 14 to 8. Despite all that, the chain seemed to be doing fine. 7 locations are now located in Dallas, while one is in Houston, Texas.

Anyhow, rockfish will do just fine. Corona managed to shake the floor once, but it won’t work again.

There’s no way that we can dish out a negative rating after all this. Rockfish has served us good food, so we will offer them good reviews in return. And yeah, they also get full marks from our regards.
