Tagine Beverly Hills History

Tagine Beverly Hills was the child of two masters, each well-known in their line. First was the chef and founder of this chain; he goes by Chef Ben Benameur.

The Hollywood star Ryan Gosling acted as the co-owner; he was responsible for the funds for this luxurious mindset.

They both met in Los Angeles, where Chef Ben had already established his empire with high-quality cuisines that only riches could afford.

He (Ben) grew up in Morocco along with his mother. He always admired how her mother made even the simplest dish special.

That’s how he achieved his motivation for cooking. Morocco also played a big role since its local dishes are considered magical on their own.

After completing his education and training for Chef in Line, he started working on his crazy ideas.

These ideas had anything from weird ingredients to Moroccan-style mixes that no one had thought of before.

It wasn’t long before his skills started shining and winning the hearts of many. Especially Hollywood celebs who would regularly come into his domain for some delicious fun.

But there was always that one thing he couldn’t achieve. And that’s the true Morocco mindset, all because he didn’t have the funds to start it all.

Everything changed when Ryan met him and fell in love with his cooking. After a while, Ryan learned about his passion for Moroccan flavors, and he offered him a chance to make his dreams come true.

That’s how Tagine Beverly Hills was born on May 20, 2004, at 132 North Robertson Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

Ben’s reputation preceded this restaurant too. His new dishes were as astounding as his LA ones.

Some dishes made their way into Beverly Hills, but most of them were made from scratch. It serves multicourse meals, including appetizers, mains, and wines.

Tagine Beverly Hills Review

Tagine Beverly Hills is a special place made for special people. Make sure to check out Tagine Beverly Hills menu prices before considering yourself.

Yes, it’s blazingly expensive, and yes, each plate will include a fraction of what we usually eat. Still, it’s a worthy experience for those who can hope to achieve it.

Our journey began with hummus, a recipe that his mom used to make. It’s a classical dish made with whole chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and a special blend made by the legend himself.

Tahini is a condiment that uses roasted ground sesame. Despite its nature, it’s a local dish known throughout the Middle East.

The chickpeas were placed in the center of the dish, while the tahini was scattered around it. Making it look like an island made with delicious legumes.

Well, it’s just an appetizer, so let’s not dwell on it for too long. Next up was a series of foods counted as the main dish. But what really caught our eye was this item called Fish Tagine.

The number one dish from North Africa, or, we can say, Morocco, is pretty similar to the hot pot from China.

The main ingredient is a one-and-a-half-pound cod fillet. We actually don’t know which fish was included in our plates, but it similarly tasted like cod, so that’s that.

It also includes a lot of vegetables like potatoes, parsley, tomatoes, large carrots, green peppers, and so on.

Everything is put together in a big pot and then boiled in a chermoula marinade sauce. It’s the main taste of this dish that fills each bite with so many flavors that no ordinary dish can produce.

It was truly a heavenly experience, but does the price justify the portion? We will leave it to you to decide!

Final Thoughts

The level of detail each plate had was just insane. Only a true master chef can produce the level of culinary arts we saw on our journey.

But remember that this doesn’t target normal audiences. So the portions will stick like a sore thumb, and some may even hate it.

Well, it’s a location for celebrities, and we have no idea what kind of food they really like. Media has a lot of information, but most of it is made up of the marketing team.

Despite all that, it’s definitely a worthwhile experience. Not for all, but surely someone will appreciate how even the simplest dish is transformed into something entirely different here at Tagine Beverly Hills.
