Pizza Boli’s History
The grand opening happened in 1985 by Javed “John” Nasir, founder and owner of Pizza Boli’s in the neighborhood of MD’s Mount Washington.
All food producers come into the market with a unique or clear goal that drives them to success. As for Nasir, it was pretty simple: “Just give them more.”.
Yup, that’s what he had planned to do from the very beginning. This included more varieties, more toppings, and more fun!
Well, who wouldn’t love to have generous portions on their plates? And the fun part was that it cost even less than the active competition.
Even now, most of their dishes are cost-efficient while providing more and more things on the final serving.
In fact, people loved this idea, and they loved Boli’s food even more. The new location was established just a few months after the grand opening.
More and more spots started popping up as new franchisors started investing in Pizza Boli’s. Everyone adored their concept, and eventually, it covered every part of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.
For the time being, we have no idea about its day-to-day operations or whether it has received some major investments over the past decades.
But we know some memorable moments that went viral in 2017 when Pizza Boli ranked 52nd in Pizza Today’s Top 100 Companies.
Their gross sales broke the $50,000,000 milestone in 2019 across 80 locations. Right before the major lockdown, but even that wasn’t enough to break Boli’s down.
By this point, Pizza Boli’s had both online and home delivery options fully integrated into their systems. And that’s why they managed to save all of their locations.
As of the article writing, Pizza Boli’s has entered the market in New Jersey and grown even bigger with its 87 active locations.
Pizza Boli’s Review
Pizza Boli’s menu and prices have some interesting turns. We were close to Edgewood, so let’s check out what Boli’s has in store for us.
Luckily, there were 5–6 new dishes in the spotlight, and Chicken Over Rice caught our immediate attention.
These chickens just didn’t look good; instead, it was the price tag. A massive list of ingredients and rice served in a giant ball, and it was priced at just $11? Are you kidding me?
Curiosity got the better of us, and we instantly ordered it. Four bowls came rushing in; they literally needed two people to serve them. Just imagine how massive these might be in real life.
Tender Spice Marinated chicken is served with basmati rice. That’s not all; it was then topped with lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and hot red onions.
As for sauce, it had a white, tangy, and red, hot, fiery sauce. Sheesh! That’s a lot, and it looks even better in person.
Boli’s definitely delivered what they promised; it can’t be described as “more” anymore; they literally doubled it, and it’s just insane!!!
Well, if they focus more on quantity, then the quality should be bad, right? Right? Well, joke on you, because it tastes heavenly!
It’s super rare to see quantity and quality at the same time, and Pizza Boli’s menu has more than what that came from.
Our next target was a 14-inch slice of The Pizza Boli’s Unique. Another dish with generous portions of pizza cheese, ground beef, Italian salami, tomatoes, onions, and so on.
There were like 100 more ingredients on the list; well, let’s just skip that for now. And yeah, it came with pizza sauce.
An 8-slice piece, perfect for our 4-man crew. We each had two slices, and let me tell you, it was good.

Well, of course, they did; we experienced these so-called More Toppings in person, and it’s definitely more—not just anymore, but real, REAL MORE!
Some can be deceived by its quantity and probably return it, saying they got the wrong order. But believe me, it’s real—as real as it can get.
While most industries stick with 10-15% addition during festival season. Pizza Boli, on the other hand, goes above and beyond by giving more than 50% of normal portions.
