John’s Incredible Pizza History
This buffet restaurant was founded by John Parlet in 1997. He also had a dream of making it into an arcade and a place where large gatherings or celebrations could happen.
Both of these soon became a reality when John’s Incredible Pizza received a lot of regard from the locals.
Mostly because of its buffet concept, which isn’t the usual thing to see in those days and ages. But it was for good.
The new limelight makes people curious, and that curiosity drives innovation. And believe us, first-timers usually stick around till the end.
That’s exactly what happened, and its popularity skyrocketed in just a few months. The initial halls were massive, but at that time they had barely one theme.
Now most John’s Incredible Pizza locations are as massive as 60,000 square feet and can hold five themed halls.
These halls can have anything from pine chairs to log-covered walls to real fireplaces for that authentic, classic vibe.
They also have kids’ cartoons playing on big plasma TVs; depending on time and location, you can see Cartoon Network’s Boomerang or Disney Junior.
Well, that’s all part of the game; there are also quite a few kids’ games, like arcades, in these buildings. Making it feel like a sports bar, which is family- and kid-friendly.
But that’s not all; John’s also planned a special room for grown-ups. It also has a dedicated sports bar with Motorsports playing on TV.
Anyway, there are three more types: one for resting, one for adults who like tropical-type things, and the last one with a resort vibe.
Overall, the sheer number of varieties in these halls became the main attraction. Growing the restaurant locations from one to 10 all around the West Coast.

Our second segment should’ve cleared up everything about John’s Incredible Pizza menu and prices.
In short, you can attend it in two ways: first, you can buy a pass and attend buffets without paying twice.
Or get a regular ticket whenever you need to join. Alternatively, you can also order online. We went with this one because going and joining the buffet was a big pain.
Anyway, this gave us a perfect opportunity to explore everything inside out, and our first target was Hot Honey Chicken Pizza.
This new dish was made with mozzarella and crispy chicken. While the big flavor change came from this hot honey sauce drizzle.
Marinara sauce will be at the top for the final touch. Well, nobody would expect a pizza to taste sweet and salty at the same time. More like a cookie, but without sacrificing its origin.
We added extra toppings of red onions; you can go for chicken or ham. Remember that these additional options won’t be available on a buffet.
That’s why we went for the online route; we had everything on hand, and this 10-slice pizza was definitely a party smasher.
The texture and flavor were quite good, and the sweetness from the honey drizzles wasn’t overwhelming at all.
It managed to complement the entire dish pretty well. And those sauces and red onions gave it the pizza-like outlook that we needed.
It’s a seasonal pizza, so get your hands on it while it is still on sale! Next up was something to balance out the meal.
And it came as this dish called Pesto Spaghetti. The basil pesto is basically a paste of various herbs with aged cheese, nuts, and so on.

But what we received was indeed well-made. But this wasn’t the best deal for us; the buffet had a larger food section, and you could eat anything you wanted.
