Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea History
The first Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea store came up in Chicago, Illinois on October 9, 1995. The founders Doug Zell and Emily Mange moved from San Francisco to Chicago and realized that there was a lack of elusive coffee in the new town.
All they wanted was freshly roasted coffee that assures the satisfaction of authentic coffee.
