The history of Bakery Lorraine dates back to the 2000s when Anne Ng and Jeremy Mandrell came in contact while working for one of the famous chefs Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bakery, Napa Valley, California.

During that period Anne and Jeremy gained a huge knowledge about baking and how to run a business out of it.

While being on the process, Anne and Jeremy honed their skills at different bakeries near the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2010, Anne Ng and Jeremy Mandrell moved to San Antonio to establish their career as bakers and to build their dream of launching a bakery.

It is then in 2011, Anne Ng and Jeremy Mandrell met entrepreneur Charlie Biedenharn.

Charlie became the wind beneath their wings and joined Anne and Jeremy to lay the foundation stone of Bakery Lorraine.

The trio set up the first Bakery Lorraine store at a farmer’s market in 2011. Eventually, Bakery Lorraine found a spot at Pearl in the form of a true restaurant.

From there, Bakery Lorraine caught the thread and gradually evolved as one of the most successful bakeries in San Antonio.

Bakery Lorraine has a total of six locations spread over San Antonio, Austin, and Boerne. In San Antonia, there are four hubs at the original Pearl Brewery, Rim, Medical Center, and Doseum.

Another two restaurants are located at 134 Oak Park Dr, Boerne, and Rock Rose Ave, Austin.

Over the years, the restaurant has made required changes in the Bakery Lorraine menu and prices. Every item on the menu is crafted with handmade care and attention to detail.

The bakers treat each ingredient with the utmost respect and the items are baked with a lot of thoughtfulness.

Gradually, the ingredients were upgraded to uplift the nutrition level while keeping the goodness of the confection alive. It’s the core value and quality offering that has elevated the brand across San Antonio.
