BBQ, or, as we can say, barbecue, is a rather fascinating way of enjoying a meal. Normally we cook meat in oils and cookware, but BBQ uses the old-fashioned method, and can you guess it? Yeah, fire them all up! Anyway, in this modern day and age, good BBQ restaurants are a diamond in the rough. That’s why now we are bringing the Gates BBQ menu with prices so you don’t have to.

The Gates Family Restaurant has been in business for over 70 years. Despite that, their popularity just seems to grow.

The way they make their world-famous barbecue sauce and rubs is just outstanding. It all started with one small restaurant, and now there are multiple of these scattered around Kansas City.

It’s a shame that this fantastic BBQ restaurant is only limited to a small portion of the world.

Well, you can indeed order their menu even if you are not in Kansas City. But what about people from other countries? Well, Amazon has something to say about that.

Yes, almost all of Gates BBQ menus are available to order from Amazon. For example, the original classic Gates BBQ sauce pair costs around $25 (excluding delivery costs).

Who knew that you could have this tomato-based barbecue sauce even if you don’t live in the USA? Well, the delivery costs would be traumatic, but if all you want is a true delicacy, then it is worth it.

Gates BBQ History

It all started in 1946 when a man named George W. Gates decided to open a family restaurant and grind in the open.

It was a time when the world was still recovering from the tragedy that World War II brought.

Many businesses went bankrupt, and many also rose from the ashes. Mr. Gates has a clear goal, and that’s what made him who he is today.

The first restaurant was named “Gates Ol’ Kentucky,” which is the main origin of Gates Bar-B-Q today. At that time, barbecue sauce wasn’t a popular item to sell.

Most people made this sauce at home, and that unpopularity also acted as a good charm for Gates and his family.

Gates BBQ menu prices were rather reasonable, and it provided the true homemade flavor that everyone loved instantly.

Most people will think that if it comes from a restaurant, it will have some unnecessary, unhealthy additions.

Well, that way of thinking went and gone like it was never here, and now Gates BBQ has six fully functional restaurants in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Enough about history; aren’t you curious about what their sauce tastes like? The true recipe isn’t as complicated as you may think.

While factory-made sauces are a common thing now, Gates BBQ still uses the traditional ancient method, like making fiery pits using lava red oak wood.

Which is used in making their signature “tomato-based barbecue sauce.” This signature sauce was first introduced in 1975, and it has become a permanent item on the Gates BBQ menu ever since.

Gates BBQ Review

Whether you live in Kansas City or not, there is always going to be a way for you to get some of their classic barbecue sauce.

It all started with a simple sauce, and now Gates restaurants also offer a full set of BBQs with mutton, sausage, mixed plates, and all the good stuff.

Going somewhere special? Get a set now! Or maybe it’s picnic time, and then you are in the right place! Get a 40-ounce bottle of BBQ sauce and savor the taste of tomatoes like never before.

And how can we forget the smoky, burned ends? That’s one of their specialties, after all. So what makes the burnt ends so special? Well, they use a special kind of method for burning their meat.

At Gates BBQ, they put the meat directly over the fire, and it keeps burning until it turns all black and blistery.

There are also a few rumors flowing around that the chef uses lava-red oak wood throughout the process. Yes, it’s the same firepower that is being used to make their original, classic tomato-flavored sauce.

And when the meat is perfectly ready, the cook puts it in a sandwich and then presents it to the customers. Most Gates BBQ customers say this luscious, fatty, and smoky meat makes this burnt-end sandwich the best.

But wait! Eating meat is also bad for your health, right? Then why not add some French fries, green beans, or cornbread to it too? A balanced meal is the perfect meal, as they say.

The best part about it is that the burnt end pairs well with these side dishes like it was made for it from the beginning.

Final Thoughts

It’s surprising that even after all these years, the signature sauce still stands rock solid. BBQ Bros. and many others try to overrun Gates BBQ menu as hard as they can, but once a winner is always a winner.

It’s all thanks to years of hard work and millions of happy and satisfied customers.

If you are still deciding whether to try it or not, don’t be. Gates BBQ prices are rather cheap in the quality that they make. Who knows, maybe this day will never come? Savour the opportunity while it still stands!
