Which Wich History
Jeff Sinelli founded this massive chain in December 2003. He was a veteran in this market, holding the position of CEO at Genghis Grill.
Since he already had more than enough knowledge of the fast-casual genre, it was no wonder that this new creation would also boom right away.
Its unique ordering system was one of the major selling points when it first came. Customers used a red Sharpie marker to write down the name of their sandwich in a sandwich bag.
Then they will pick everything from the bread size to toppings and extras like double meat, bacon, and so on. Then these bags are deposited at the counter.
Along with the list of things the sandwich should have, the staff prepares this personalized sandwich and serves it on the same bed they had their marker on.
Some people love to draw flowers or doodle on these sandwich bags and then showcase them on the community walls. Even the brand encourages them to do so.
These kinds of small things came a long way and eventually got the attention of D. Magazine in April of next year.
They heavily praised this unique system and even called it the best sandwich in town. The franchise started in February 2005.

And man, oh man, it was something else. It’s just a simple ingredient, but it tastes good without being baked.
The sandwich take on these pizza ingredients was a marvelous idea indeed. And the final result was a perfect masterpiece like never before.
We also had regular fries and hand-dipped milkshakes at the end. This milkshake had quite a variation too, but it fails in comparison with their main dishes like sandwiches and salad.
