Round Table Pizza History
On December 21st, 1959, at 1235 El Camino Real, the first restaurant came into being. The founder named it Round Table Pizza, which has a direct relationship to his father.
It turns out that the furniture used in the very first restaurant was made by him and his father. They used the redwood and shaped it into a round shape.
That’s where the round comes from, and you can pretty much guess by now where the table and pizza came from, so let’s skip that.
Then, a few years later, the first restaurant was moved from 1234 El Camino Real to 1221. This place is now still being run by the next generation, especially by Bob Larson.

Well, there wasn’t anything tragic about the backstory of Round Table until 2011, when they filed for bankruptcy. But even that was solved within a year, resulting in their resurrection.
The business just went up after that fateful day, and just a few years later, in 2014, Round Table Pizza signed a development agreement to establish more chains in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar.
The last crisis moment came in 2017 when it was acquired by Global Franchise Group. Anyway, this acquisition guaranteed a steady supply of funds for Round Table Pizza for good.
After the 60th anniversary, a unified vote came to update the logo and motto of the company to “Pizza Royalty.”.
