The buffet is a famous way to celebrate special moments like marriage or an anniversary. But why limit it to only special moments? Say hi to the Golden Corral, the Buffet King of America! Below you will find the Golden Corral menu with prices.

A buffet is a unique eating experience that strays away from regular dining. Normally, we wait at the table while the food is served. But the buffet has opposite rules.

In an all-you-can-eat buffet, the customers are supposed to serve their food. Foods or dishes are presented in a family-sized portion. Then these portions are decorated on a large, long table.

The dish usually depends on the theme. At some point in the year, the Golden Corral menu will serve a few or entirely different items.

But the end goal should be meat, salads, side dishes, and desserts. But remember that buffet is a hit-or-miss kind of issue.

Please wait for our conclusion section to know why. Now let’s begin with the Golden Corral menu and prices then we will head over to the history segment of this blog, where we will learn how the Golden Corral came to be.

Golden Corral History

Around the year 1971, James Maynard and William F. Carl imagined the idea of owning small franchises under a single big name.

That idea turned itself into the Golden Corral that we know today. It’s the same as saying the parent company of many small ones.

This makes sure that those small businesses don’t go bankrupt under the wear and tear of the market. While also simultaneously expanding their territory over other regions.

It wasn’t a successful plan from the get-go. It took years, but finally, on January 3rd, 1973, the first Golden Corral Steak House opened around Fayetteville, North Carolina.

This was just the beginning. It turned out that this concept was massive, and they even had 500 restaurants to their name by 1987.

Soon that year, Golden Corral decided to franchise 55 more distressed restaurants and present them to the main manager.

Not all restaurants had good training, leading to poor food quality. For example, red meat became a big concern soon after, and to counter that, the company introduced a salad section to its menu.

This was the start of the Buffet era. These salad menus were included as a salad bar. It’s a buffet with only salad in it. Golden Corral sacrificed seating and their parking lots to make space for this salad bar.

This was a big step, and it was a lovely one indeed. This gave birth to the name Metro Market. A few years later, in 1991, seven of these metro markets were opened.

Each location was 10,000 square feet, holding 400 to 500 customers at once. With this came a new dessert section called Brass Bell Bakery.

Golden Corral Review

Buffets usually have more than 50 items served at once. So if you are wondering which one to pick, don’t worry. Just get a quick look at all the available items and let your instinct take over. You’ll soon smell something nice, and if that makes your mouth watery, then that’s the one.

Golden Corral menu has three types of buffets. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are held in those three sittings. Foods are continuously replaced, so do not worry that any item will get cold.

We arrived at lunch, and we had an insane feast all to ourselves. Also, we didn’t know that lunch hours were the most famous ones.

We started our feast with a featured pork entree. It is a manager’s recommended dish on the menu, and the taste defines why it’s that.

Then we added another Hot Launch Favorite called Awesome Pot Roast. This was also a fantastic dish. Then we added rice, which comes under the side dish section.

While most customers then opted for soup, regular side dishes like mashed potatoes, gravy, and pasta also exist. The selection was massive, and it pretty much covered all of them.

We will also recommend checking out the salad bar section. It had fresh fruits and veggies that we needed the most. A balanced meal is a happy meal after all.

It also featured two full salad recipes, which were the manager’s favorites. One was the normal salad, and the other had seafood in it. We went with the normal one since our filling for meat had already been fulfilled.

As for dessert, we went with the chocolate chip cookies. This part was also filled with different options—for example, chocolate-dipped fresh strawberry skewers.

Final Thoughts

Golden Corral menu prices given above have everything that a person needs. Usually, people thought that all-you-can-eat buffets had bad quality. But these were bunked years ago.

Now the Golden Corral menu is filled with delicacies that come from all over the world. Skilled chefs make them in batches without sacrificing taste once a bit.

These artisans deserve real credit. They make these fantastic dishes not just once or twice, but a dozen times a day. As for dessert, this number goes way over the dozens.

The brass bell on their stall stands literally for a brass bell. Yes, this bell rang once every 15 minutes, which meant new bread, rolls, pastries, etc. were now available.

New sweets came pouring in four times in an hour, which was enough to fill the hungry stomachs of customers. The main course, named Golden Choice Buffet, was introduced. It showcased new items.

Many new things were added in the past year, which shaped the modern Golden Corral menu prices. There were also bad times, but they got overwritten by the good ones.
