Wolfgang Puck History

Before heading into the restaurant, we must know how Wolfgang got his passion for cooking. In most cases, it’s some fated union or discovery.

But for Johannes, it was none other than his mother. She was an awesome chef herself, and she granted Junior Wolfgang the ability to sense why taste matters.

He gained a new self, and soon he decided that it was his fate to be a chef. Without wasting any more time, he took part in a chef program at the age of 14.

He took an apprenticeship under Raymond Thuilier at the Hôtel de Paris, a restaurant known for its cuisine. That’s not all; he also worked at another famous location called Ma Maison.

During his lifetime, he took part with many professional cooks in flagship locations like those. That gave him the godly experience he has today.

He opened his first major restaurant, Spago, in 1982. He was already well known for his cooking, so it’s no surprise that Spago was an instant success.

His signature dish was pizza topped with a fish called salmon and caviar. These two were smoked to the bone and then cut to the perfect size.

It also had Sonoma baby lamb, braised greens and rosemary. This marked him on the radar of news journalists, and slowly his territory expanded to other parts of the nation.

He won the James Beard Foundation Award for Excellence Chef twice, first in 1991 and second in 1998. Then Spago won the James Beard Foundation Award for Restaurant in 1994.

He is the only chef to win this Award multiple times. In 2006, Wolfgang opened a steakhouse called CUT.

Remember that Wolfgang Puck restaurants are everywhere; their names can be slightly different, but all of them are part of a huge chain.

Wolfgang Puck Review

Well, our bank was already crying after doing all these reviews. So Spago was out of the question. But we heard from their steakhouse that it had affordable pricing.

Remember that the Wolfgang Puck menu and prices will differ from location to location. Steakhouse had two stores, and we went to Orlando.

It had private dining options, and yeah, make sure to reserve seats beforehand. This is a premium location, so it’s best to be prepared.

Wolfgang Puck’s menu was multicourse. To begin with, we went to Appetisers.

We heard that tuna tartare was the most famous appetizer in their restaurant. So we just had to order it, and surprisingly, it was good.

It had ingredients like avocado, radish, sesame soy vinaigrette, and spicy aioli. Its flavor reminds us of Asia.

Meanwhile, the texture was somewhat Mediterranean. Anyway, it was a perfect igniter for our hunger.

Now for the main dish, we had two choices: pizza and pasta. In the end, our decision landed on pasta. So each of us ordered a plate of spaghetti.

It had a variety of items like tomatoes, basil, garlic, and parmesan. Meanwhile, meatballs or grilled shrimp could be added for extra charges.

We decided to add meatballs; after all, spaghetti without a meatball is like sushi without fish. Anyway, its flavor was marvelous.

Tomato and garlic gave it a strong flavor that resonated in our mouths. Meanwhile, the meatballs enhanced the flavor of the noodles.

And yeah, we also ordered a local “Dicuru” burrata salad. A healthy stomach means a healthy body, after all.

And let us tell you, it went with our main dish like these two dishes were made for each other. There were a lot of side dishes too, but we instead went for a glass of wine.

Final Thoughts

We had one of the best dining experiences in a long time. From appetizers to the main dish and salad, everything had a unique taste that we had never had before.

Wolfgang Truck is one of the best chefs this world has ever had. His creations are the spitting image of his personality, a bit cheerful but as strong as they can be.

But remember that the Wolfgang Puck menu and prices aren’t made for everyone. If you want to experience his best creation, then that will cost you heavily.

Meanwhile, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, where we had our dinner, can be a perfect choice for everyday people. It’s modernly priced, nothing dirt cheap, and it’s acceptable for the quality we received.

Each dish was professionally prepared, which showed why this is better than regular fast food restaurants. In the end, it’s all about taste and your health.
