Marinos Tsiorvas was the mind behind Wok ‘n Roll’s creation. His passion for this came from his parents.

Especially their family-owned Chinese restaurant, which wasn’t that popular. But that unpopularity ignited a fire in his soul.

This fire then forced him to expand awareness about crazy Asian foods that Americans were missing.

After graduating and gaining sufficient funds, Marinos went on a long journey among Asian countries. Especially Japan and China, from where he picked out many regional cuisines.

It gave him a clear understanding of how Asian foods differ from those in the USA and why they should be preferred.

After years of hard work, he finally gained enough experience to develop his dish and style of cooking. This style was later shaped as a restaurant.

Almost all Wok ‘n Roll menu dishes have a deep story behind them. For the time being, only the founder can tell the real truth.

But we can guess a few of them. For example, sushi has the aroma of China, but in a good way.

Meanwhile, greens are directly contributing to grocery dealers. Remember that most Americans now prefer meat over vegetables?

But Asian restaurants like Wok ‘n Roll support them by adding them to their regular chain of supply.

He also learned one big lesson in his Asia journey: despite how these dishes looked, they were pretty fresh.

Most Asian foods include herbs, which sometimes can give them a weird coloring, but it’s all part of the game. It gives it more nutritional and healing properties at the cost of appearance.

We had a quick look at the Wok ‘n Roll menu with prices, and it seemed like it had cheap dishes to full-on expensive ones.

Their menu had three main categories: Chinese cuisine, Japanese cuisine, and fitness cuisine. The last one is targeted at dietary customers.

Like patients with restrictions on certain vitamins, dieting, gym guys, etc. We thought for a while about which one to pick, and in the end, we ended up with Chinese.

Our first pick was a vegetarian dish called Spring Rolls. It had 4 spring rolls with carrot, cabbage, coriander, and sesame oil.

It was surprisingly flavorful; in fact, some of us ordered a second. It was light on the stomach, so it did not end up taking up the entire space.

Some customers went for traditional miso soup. It’s made of grounded soybeans. It has a salty taste and goes well with meat, as we heard.

Anyway, our next target was a traditional Asian meal. We heard that they eat rice, so our next pick was Fried Rice With Vegetables.

It was fried rice that had a lot of veggies in it. Like carrot, cucumber, and sweet corn. But, as always, rice needs a supporting dish.

House Special Chicken was the obvious choice in this case. There were beef options too; just pick whichever suits you the most.

As for this dish, it had chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, Chinese mushrooms, and vegetables.

One of our crew members wanted something sour, so he went for lemon chicken. This one also had chicken with bell pepper, carrot, onion, and lemon sauce.

Lastly, we ordered one bowl of miso soup each. It goes well with meat, so there was no way we would miss this.
