The first Pasta House Co. was spotted around 1974 by Joe Fresta, the late John P. Ferrara, and the late J. Kim Tucci.

Joe still lives and governs a good part of the Pasta House Co.. It’s been 40 years ever since, and still, their family-friendly motto lives on.

The Pasta House Co. menu mostly offers old-school dishes like spaghetti, pasta, eggplants, meatballs, etc. But that doesn’t mean that old guys like us hate it.

These kids’ meals filled our bellies throughout our childhood, and now most of us are hooked on their food. Their motto defines why it’s called family-friendly.

Their door is open to everyone, and their traditions end up creating a long line of customers who come here again and again to celebrate what they have achieved.

It can be someone’s marriage, happy family, kid’s birthday, and so on, but one thing is certain: The Pasta House Co. has always been home to the memories of countless people.

As of today, they have somewhere around 20 locations open throughout Illinois and Missouri. Their restaurants are also open to charitable activities.

For example, hosting a fundraiser, a donation campaign, a sharing program, etc.—that’s why it’s been a hotspot for different kinds of people.

Remember that most restaurants avoid gathering unnecessary attention around their stores, but The Pasta House Co. is all about helping others.

During the 20s, their toasted ravioli, fresh pasta, hot cheesy garlic bread, and St. Louis-style salads were selling like crazy.

That’s when kids’s special meals were introduced, and it ended up hooking up dozens of kids to them. Now most of them are regulars at their restaurants.

The Pasta House Co. Review

As you can guess by now, pasta is one of their specialties. But as time progressed, The Pasta House Co. menu ended up including many other simple to complex dishes on its list.

There were many special dishes in it, and it seemed like a good amount of them were specially curated for small bellies.

Hot, cheesy garlic bread is the perfect example of it. It’s bread after all, so the elderly and kids alike can indulge themselves in it.

Its cheesy texture was both creamy and salty, which ended up making us more hungry. Later, we realized that it was an appetizer.

Anyway, there was one more appetizer called Eggplant Parmigiano, and let us tell you, it was a feast for both our eyes and belly.

It was hand-sliced from plump, ripe fruit, which was lightly floured and deep-fried, then baked with their house-made tomato sauce and further topped with Italian cheeses.

There were quite a few non-veg options too, like Mt. Vesuvius Hot Chicken Fillets and Nonna Tucci’s Meatballs.

As for vegetarian options, the first two are the perfect examples, but you can also go for Bruschetta, Artichoke, and Spinach Dip with Crostini and Calamari.

The Pasta House Co. menu had other light-to-heavy dishes too, but we just had enough appetizers for the day. Next up were the main dishes.

We went with their pasta section, which is their specialty. Spaghetti with Mama’s Tomato Sauce caught our immediate attention.

The name Mama means it has something special. Well, it turned out our hunch was on the spot. Its sauce was homemade and had a motherly touch to it.

Their soup and salad section was also extraordinary. Soup is made daily with different flavors, so it’s pointless to list it once. Since we only saw one on our visit day,

Well, as for salad, it had one non-vegetarian variant and two vegetarian options. Famous Salad was the best of them all.

It had Romaine and iceberg lettuce tossed with tender artichokes along with sliced fresh pimentos, red onions, and aged Wisconsin Parmigiano cheese.
